Fees

Clear, fixed fees for our licensing services. Statutory fees charged by the local authority (and any newspaper advert or DBS check) are paid separately and are shown under each service where they apply.

Premises licences — alcohol, food & entertainment

  • New / variation of premises licence

    £600

    Application for a new licence or a variation of a current licence. Suitable for small to medium capacity premises — pubs, bars, off licences, restaurants, takeaways and similar.

    Does not include the local authority application fee or the newspaper advert charge.

  • New / variation of premises licence (large)

    £700

    Application for a new licence or a variation of a current licence for larger capacity premises — theatres, nightclubs, larger restaurants and other large capacity venues.

    Does not include the local authority application fee or the newspaper advert charge.

  • Minor variation of premises licence

    £150

    Application for minor amendments to an existing licence, such as a change of plans or a reduction in activities or hours.

    Does not include the local authority application fee of £89.

  • Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) variation

    £50

    Application to change the existing DPS. Selling alcohol without a DPS in place is an offence under the Licensing Act 2003.

    Does not include the local authority application fee of £23.

  • Transfer application

    £50

    Application to transfer a premises licence to a new licence holder.

    Does not include the local authority application fee of £23.

  • Temporary Event Notice

    £30

    Notification for a temporary licence (up to seven days) for the sale of alcohol and/or regulated entertainment.

    Does not include the local authority fee of £21.

  • Personal licence application

    £50

    Completion and submission of all application forms to the local authority for the grant of a personal alcohol licence.

    Does not include the local authority application fee of £37 or the DBS fee of £20.

  • Compliance check

    POA

    A full compliance check of your premises, including a review of your licence, guidance, training and a full report to make sure you are operating within your licence and licensing legislation.
